Wheels for Meals Fundraiser through January 31
The Hope Food Pantry collects tons of food each month to distribute to families in need, but our van is getting old! We currently have a Chrysler Minivan with 312,000 miles, and one door falls off due to rust every time we open it. So we have been graciously awarded a $6000 grant from the Community Foundation to purchase a new cargo van. In addition, we have received $2000 from a local donor, and only need $5000 more to purchase a replacement delivery vehicle. Please consider giving a gift so we can continue picking up food donations in the area. Checks can be made out to the Community Center, and designate "Wheels for Meals." Thanks!
Hope's Closet Thrift Store Now Open!
While many people in our community are in need of food, many are also in need of clothing and household items. The Community Center of Hope is excited to announce the opening of Hope's Closet Thrift Store. Hope's Closet sells gently used clothing, toys, games, shoes, coats, dishes, blankets and other household items to the public. Donations are accepted at the Community Center during business hours. Anyone can shop and find great deals! Sorry, but no furniture, appliances, electronics, computers or TVs will be accepted. Proceeds from Hope's Closet will be used to support the Hope Food Pantry and other Community Center of Hope programs.

Community Center of Hope Mission
To be a compassionate community partner,
helping people of all ages achieve a better quality of life.
Our main program is providing emergency food assistance
to households in need through our Food Pantry.
Hundreds of people receive food and personal items each month.
Churches, businesses and individuals provide financial and in-kind donations to maintain this basic human service.
Looking forward, we are investigating new programs
to provide household goods and expand our service area
throughout Southern Marathon County.
